Conferences and visits

As part of the exhibition, four free lectures are offered to explore the topic further.

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, two conferences will be presented by Cécile Costa.
Cécile Costa is currently in her first year of a Master's degree in conservation-restoration, specializing in archaeological and ethnographic objects, at the Haute École Arc in Neuchâtel, after obtaining her Bachelor of Arts HES-SO.

On Wednesdays June 17 and 24, 2026, two lectures will be presented by Carole Jeanneret, organizer of the exhibition.
Carole Jeanneret graduated in 2013 with a master's degree in conservation-restoration, specializing in graphic arts, from the École de Condé (Paris and Lyon). She also holds a professional certificate in bookbinding and gilding, obtained in 2014 from the Tolbiac vocational high school in Paris.
She opened her first conservation-restoration workshop for paper documents, parchments, books and bindings in Lyon in 2014, which she sold in 2016 in order to open, in the same year, her new workshop "À livre ouvert" in Fribourg.

The conferences are free and open to all!

- Saturday, June 6 at 2 p.m.: "Technology at the service of conservation: Detecting an infestation using sound," presented by Cécile Costa

- Saturday, June 6 at 4 p.m.: "Materials and know-how: the conservation and restoration of composite objects," presented by Cécile Costa

- Wednesday, June 17 at 6 p.m.: "Bringing Posters Back to Life: Secrets and Techniques of Paper Restoration," presented by Carole Jeanneret

- Wednesday, June 24 at 6 p.m.: "Leather and Time: Solutions for Book Restoration," presented by Carole Jeanneret
